Our medication administration course will help you acquire vital medication knowledge through  self paced online learning. During the practical medication administration training portion you’ll also gain crucial real-world skills to safely administer medication to clients which will then be followed by a competency assessment to wrap up your course.  

Among the new skills and experience you’ll have developed by the completion  of your course, you will be able to:

  • Understand your responsibilities, including regulations and any organisational guidelines behind safely administering medication to clients.
  • Prepare the administration of medication by complying with infection prevention and control procedures.

This medication administration course is presented to students through a blend of theory and practical learning conducted across self-paced online study followed by three hours of in-person practical training. The duration of the course is primarily dictated by the pace of your self-guided learning. This means you have the potential to complete your medication training course in only a single day, it all depends on you.

The in-person portion of your medication administration training can take place at our premier Sunshine Coast training venue located at Suite 7, 137-141 Brisbane Road, Mooloolaba.

Entry Requirements

There are no academic requirements to attend one of our  medication administration courses. All attendees need to attend are basic literacy and numeracy skills, and the physical capability to interact with clients to provide them medication, operate medication equipment and to correctly store medication equipment after using it.

Students will also require their own  device with an internet connection to complete the at-home eLearning and theoretical portions of their medication administration training.
